
Robin Johnson, Medical Director, MD, FRCSC, OBGYN
“Its important to me to create an environment
with time to understand what patients are going through”
Dr Robin Johnson is the founder and Medical Director of Blossom Fertility and Medical Clinic. She is also one of the first Indigenous OBGYNs in Canada. Dr Johnson discovered joy in women’s health care as a medical student at University of British Columbia, where she graduated in 2001. She then went on to train in obstetrics and gynecology at Dalhousie University, completing her training in 2006. Dr Johnson returned to her home community of Williams Lake to live close to family and friends, later moving to Prince George in 2013. She now works at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and has a practice that includes general obstetrics and gynecology as well as her special interests in fertility and gender diverse healthcare. Seeing a need in the community for fertility care closer to home, Dr Johnson opened Blossom Fertility and Medical Clinic in 2019.Dr Johnson enjoys skiing, reading, and baking with her three kids, who range from elementary school to college age.

Megan Thwaites, MD, FRCSC, OBGYN
Dr Megan Thwaites grew up in Prince George and trained in the Northern Medical School of UBC, completing these studies in 2010. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UBC in 2016 before returning to her hometown. Her passions are bringing health care to the North and improving access to OBGYN surgeries and fertility treatments for patients who previously would have had to travel away from their community to get treatment. She enjoys hiking and cooking with her family in her free time.

Danielle Janzen, MOA
Danielle Janzen enjoys women’s health and brings her high energy to organizing our clinic. Danielle worked for 13 years as a unit clerk in Labour and Delivery and Intensive Care before moving to private practice. Danielle will be the first face to greet you upon entering our clinic and works to ensure clients have quick access to the care they need. Her knowledge of patients’ pathways through their care in the hospital makes her an asset to our clinic. She enjoys camping and being outdoors with her 2 children on days away from the office.
