Women’s Fertility

There are many reasons that women are unable to conceive but the most common causes of infertility are due to:

• Problems with the uterus, fallopian tubes, or ovaries
• Irregular or no ovulation
• Hormonal imbalances
• A woman’s age, which affects ovarian reserve

The first step is to have a complete fertility evaluation. The fertility tests will give us important information to help diagnose and treat your fertility issue as quickly as possible.

Fertility Evaluation for Women

As a woman, your fertility requires that you have healthy eggs, a healthy uterus, and healthy fallopian tubes.

Your fertility evaluation includes blood tests to measure your hormone levels and indicate your egg quality. As well, we examine your fallopian tubes and uterus with a special x ray and do an ultrasound of your ovaries to determine the number of eggs you have.
